Hi guys,
Below is a post from a guest blogger Holly Hayden from hemorrhoid Miracle on alternative medicines. Enjoy your reading!!!!
Alternative medicine is basically described as the methods and/or practices used in exchange of conventional medical treatments or methods that are not generally recognized or used by the medical community. Alternative medical procedure is often chosen by individuals whom, for some reasons, their ailments have not been cured by prescribed drugs or any other kind of conventional medicine.

A couple of days ago i contacted a few people from a forum (you might be one) and asked them to visit my blog and share their experiences and suggestions. I received a very touching reply from a person that suffered a lot, fortunately found solutions that would like to share with us. This is a little bit different than our IBS but its a story worth sharing.
I do not have IBS. I have an intussusception, enfolding of the rectum on itself. Envision a tube of cloth you’re turning inside out, you get it half way turned, then you pull back part of the tube on itself, forming a pocket all the way around the tube. Probiotics aren’t going to help impacted stool in that pocket.

Does IBS only affects poor people like us and avoids the beautiful celebrities? What do celebrities do when they have the runs or are constipated? I always believed either that that celebrities don’t get sick or even if they do they have the best doctors to make them feel great. Well….that’s not the case. In 2007, Pearl Jam’s guitarist, Mike McCready gave an interview publicly speaking about his Crohn’s Disease. What do you think Mike did when he had the runs on stage playing in front of thousands of people?

What’s up with everyone saying that people suffering with IBS are also depressed? is that true? Yeah up to some point. The real issue with IBS is not really the pain that its causing us rather the discomfort. If you got a headache for example although uncomfortable, you
can still sit in a place, take a long drive, dance, have sex etc. etc. What happens though when poop wants to come out flying if you are IBS-D or if you have a huge bloated painful nauseated belly (this is for you my IBS-C people) ? Lets see…

Remember I told you I am about 90% healed? Yeah, today I’m feeling that 10%. I woke up this morning, had my coffee as usual and went to the bathroom. I had to squeeze a little bit and I didn’t feel like by bowels emptying. Instead I got this pain and I feel bloated. Bad news is that I had to come to work and I have a gazillion thing I have to do today. Needless to say I feel upset! Ok so what do I do to help the ease the pain?

As i mentioned in my post The first step you need to begin your healing procedure by detoxing your system for a month or so and you will begin seeing changes even from the first couple of days. You can find the menu i used below for the first month of my detoxing. Please note that i combined this menu with multivitamins and digestive enzymes. You can go ahead and let me know about the results. You should also note here that i have experienced diarrhea in the first week during detox but i knew it was just because my system was pushing out all the bad things.

Iam writing this blog after finishing my daily weight lifting routine. I have been reading some blogs and website urging you not to exercise because it will flare up your IBS. I tend to agree up to one point but not completely. If you are suffering from IBS and try to exercise you will find it uncomfortabl
e and you might cramp a lot the next day (more than normal). This is because IBS doesn’t let your body absorb all the necessary protein from food thus you have much less in your system. Protein is a vital substance for the muscles so the lack of it will cause cramping. Read more here @ Natural Cures. In order to cope with this i help my system by providing all the necessary protein before exercising such as a protein shake, always without gluten as i mention in my post Another great day and let me tell you i feel great the next day. Besides weight lifting i do some aerobic exercises to help increase the blood flow. I would also suggest to pick up a sport and try to do it a few times per week because besides the physical exercise your mind clears thus relieving the stress levels which trigger IBS. Because i live on an island and my house is 5 minutes from the beach i decided to pick up spearfishing as a hobby and that helped a lot because it is a great combination of physical exercise and mental calmness. As i mention in my post My Different life stages i dont actually catch anything i just enjoy the exercise
